The Firm

The Firm was started in 1987 under the name Iseme & Company Advocates.

It changed its name to Iseme, Kamau & Company Advocates in 1993 and in 2000, the name changed to Iseme, Kamau & Maema Advocates. In 2002, the Firm merged with Kamau Karori & Company Advocates and continues to trade under the same name.

In 2010, the Firm entered into an alliance with top ranked international legal practice, DLA Piper, which has over 3,500 lawyers located in 29 countries and 67 offices.   DLA Piper was in 2009 ranked by the authoritative international monthly magazine, Legal Business, as the world’s number 1 law firm by revenues.  Whilst the alliance is exclusive, other international firms remain free to refer work to the Firm.
